Microsoft Power BI
Power BI is a cloud base business analytics service enabling any one
to visualize and analyze data with greater speed, efficiency and understanding.
Power BI is a collection of software services, apps, and connectors
that work together to turn data into interactive insights. Data can be used
from single basic sources, such as an Excel workbook, or pull data in from various
databases and online sources to create complex data-sets and reports.
Power BI consists of three main elements –
Which all work collectively to let you create, interact with,
share, and consume the data how you want it.
The basic building blocks of Power BI are:
- Visualizations – a visual representation of data, sometimes just called visuals.
- Datasets – a collection of data that Power BI uses to create visualizations.
- Reports – a collection of visuals from a dataset, spanning one or more pages.
- Dashboards – a single page collection of visuals, built from a report.
- Tiles – a single visualization found in a report or dashboard.
To put the data on the air to accessible follow
the below mentioned flow of work in Power BI:
- Get
data into Power BI Desktop, and create a report.
- Publish the report created in Power BI Desktop to Power BI service, where new
visualizations or build dashboards can be created.
- View and interact with shared dashboards and reports in Power BI Mobile apps.
